Beechfield Care Group are currently looking to recruit a staff nurse to assume responsibility for the care of residents at Woodlands House Nursing Home, Trim Road, Navan, Co Meath

About Woodlands House

Woodlands house was built in 1917 in the Georgian style and was used to serve the needs of the local Church Of Ireland Clergy as a Rectory for the Canon. The building has operated as a Nursing Home since the early 1980's and major refurbishment was completed in 2017 and now provides 24 hour nursing care for 36 residents in Single and Double ensuit rooms. For rest and relaxation Woodlands House provides a range of day rooms including Dining rooms, Lounges a sun room and a general activities room available for residents and their relatives to celebrate special events. An internal secure and sunny courtyard provides a nice outdoor sitting area

About the role

The Staff Nurse who will collaborate with the Nurse Manager & Director of Nursing in Woodlands House Nursing Home, Navan. We aim to supply a consistently strong standard of care to our residents. Quality of care, being mindful of HIQA regulations, is the fundamental aspect of this role. The post holder must be enthusiastic, motivated, committed to resident focused care. The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for residents to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Role Responsibilities

• Quality of Care Responsibilities
• Day to day supervision of the care and nursing staff
• Co-ordinate resident activities
• Work within HIQA regulations
• Any other duties as assigned by line manager.

Role Requirements

• NMBI Registered
• Excellent Clinical, Leadership and Organisational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Sound decision making ability.
• An interest in care of the elderly
