Hospice Band 5, Competency Based Pay Framework (£30,869 - £38,018 pro rata). Enhancements of between 30% and 60% for weekend, bank holidays and unsocial hours

Job SummaryThe Staff Nurse delivers compassionate specialist palliative care, working within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards on each shift. Responsibilities include planning, evaluating, and supervising patient care, supporting learners and unregistered staff, and contributing to service delivery across sites when needed. Career development is supported through a unique competency-based framework.

RequirementsThe Staff Nurse will have:
- Current right to work in the UK- NO SPONSERSHIPS AVAILABLE
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant post registration palliative care experience
- A Teaching and Assessing Certificate is desirable
The Staff Nurse will be able to:
- Work as part of a team.

- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to the internal rotation to day and night duty and unsocial hours.

- 35 days annual leave rising to 37 after 5 years and 41 after 10 years (inc. bank holidays, pro rata for part-time employees)

The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard/Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.
