Role Overview

This role involves delivering high quality, evidence based care to acutely unwell adults across AAU, MDCU, and SDEC. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and manage patients in a dynamic clinical environment. The position is based on site at St Richard's Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of acutely unwell patients
• Administer medications and implement care plans
• Use early warning scoring systems to prioritise care
• Collaborate with doctors, ACPs, therapists, and discharge teams
• Participate in board rounds and clinical decision making
• Provide clear communication and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality

Required Skills and Experience

• NMC registration with current PIN
• Minimum 6 months post registration experience in an acute trust
• Skills in venepuncture, cannulation, and administration of blood products
• Awareness of health and safety and risk management
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
• Effective time management and accurate record keeping
• Willingness to work shifts
• Occupational health clearance

• Evidence of professional development
• Understanding of clinical governance and conflict management
