Role Overview

As a registered nurse (Band 5), you will be part of our surgical nursing team, providing high standards of patient care. Surgical Ward 3 is a 20-bed female surgical ward specializing in gynaecology and general surgery, caring for acute and elective patients from various hospital departments. This environment is challenging but offers significant learning opportunities and career progression.

Main Duties
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and support their families and carers.
  • Work closely with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team.
  • Mentor and support junior staff and student nurses.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, using specialist surgical knowledge and prioritizing workload.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer care skills, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in personal development and training opportunities.
