Job Summary

Staff Nurse - Pre Assessment, Exeter - Permanent Full Time. Earn up to £36,000 per annum (based on experience) and work 37.5 hours per week. As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you'll be attentive, focused, detail oriented and empathetic. You are registered with the appropriate governing body and possess the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post registration experience you are a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

As a Pre Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Be part of a close knit team delivering matron led care in a consultant led service.
  • Act as the first point of contact, working with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery.
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
  • Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care.
  • Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities.
  • Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key.

About us

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is located next to the RDUH hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has two theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an endoscopy suite, while providing an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day case ward with 10 beds. A busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, radiology (including an MRI scanner) support a strategic focus on elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology (including invasive procedures), general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology. The Hospital houses a MAKO robot which facilitates joint replacement surgery, recognised for its excellence in this field.

  • Qualifications: Attentive, focused, detail oriented and empathetic. Registered with the appropriate governing body, possessing the qualifications and experience relevant to registration, including NMC.
  • Experience: Post registration experience, teamwork, and a passion for exceptional patient care.
