Back 4 Good are sourcing on behalf of a respected healthcare provider in Waterford for a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse - Medical Oncology. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a highly regarded oncology unit delivering specialised cancer care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert, patient-centred nursing care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments, ensuring safety and compliance with best practices.
• Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Offer psychological support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection control protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMBI registration.
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in an oncology setting preferred.
• Oncology or chemotherapy training is desirable (or willingness to undertake further training).
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and resilience in emotionally demanding situations.
