Sr QC Technician

Position Summary

Senior QC Technician - Location: Warrington (Onsite). Duration: 12-Month Contract. Pay: £13-£14.01 per hour. Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Standard business hours).

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Testing: Perform routine QC testing on intermediate and finished products following strict SOPs.
• Lab Ownership: Act as the process owner for lab housekeeping, including cleaning protocols and consumable supply management.
• Compliance: Work within ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 18385 (DNA Forensic) quality frameworks.
• Calibration & Training: Lead instrument calibration schedules and train team members on laboratory operations and equipment.
• Documentation: Perform batch reviews of QC documents to ensure 100% accuracy and traceability.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Previous experience in a regulated laboratory environment is preferred.
• Technical Interest: A working knowledge of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is highly desirable.
• Attributes: Strong leadership potential, a "safety-first" mindset, and the ability to train others effectively.
