Sr. Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sr. Legal Counsel (m/f/x). Ideally you have a solid commercial contract experience and working experience within the renewable energy industry. This position is remote within the European Union and will report to our Legal Director Europe, ideally you are located in Germany, Spain, or the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Contracts: Review, draft, and negotiate various types of contracts, including sales and procurement agreements, and supplier agreements
• Provide strategic commercial advice on contract management and risk mitigation
• Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to battery manufacturing and the renewable energy industry
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and work with leadership to take cost-effective measures to mitigate or resolve these risks
• Corporate Governance: Support general corporate governance work and assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, procurement, and HR, to provide legal advice ensuring that business objectives are achieved within the legal boundaries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in law (LL.M, Saatsexamen or European equivalent)
• License to practice law in one or more European countries
• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, with experience in manufacturing or the renewable energy sector preferred
• Extensive experience in reviewing and negotiating sales and procurement contracts
• Deep understanding of European labor laws, particularly those related to the manufacturing industry
