Job Description
Overview

SR & Compliance Specialist, Workforce Staffing. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Workforce Staffing (WFS) manages Amazon's Tier 1 talent supply chain by attracting, hiring, and onboarding associates who fulfill orders at the frontlines of the company.

Social Responsibility & Compliance specialist will work across APAC countries to conceptualize, build and drive social responsibility and compliance mechanisms. The role holder will own conducting proactive internal social responsibility audits and collaborate with Human Rights & Social Impact (HRSI), Operations Social Responsibility (Ops SR), Operations, and PXT to scale mechanisms that proactively identify and solve potential issues related to social responsibility and compliance (including labor compliance). In APAC, we work with multiple labor vendors and scale initiatives like RTP in India, foreign workers hiring in Japan, and expansion to more APAC countries.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy and scale SR & compliance mechanisms for Workforce Staffing, working backward from customer needs.
  • Regularly visit field locations and vendor offices; interact with candidates to understand first-hand experiences.
  • Conduct proactive internal SR audits on a regular schedule.
  • Teach and train WFS field team members on SR policies, processes and the compliance framework.
  • Work with vendor partners to define and implement vendor recruitment policy.
  • Lead and drive change initiatives and projects of increasing scale and complexity through to completion.
  • Review and reimagine processes, policies and practices in hiring and related processes; implement changes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare, analyze and review key business metrics on a periodic basis; surface insights to leadership for high-quality decision making.
  • Conduct market intelligence studies to gather insights on the job market and vendor landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws through regular audits, reviews and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 7+ years (or 5+ years post-MBA) in HR, talent acquisition, management consulting, project/program management. Experience owning programs end-to-end and communicating results to senior leadership. MS Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or equivalent degree; 7+ years post-MBA as an HR Business Partner, in program management, or in management consulting.
  • Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-functional project management experience; experience in leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.
