Sports Coach / Sports Graduate

• SEN School (Bury) We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach or Sports Graduate to join a specialist SEN school in Bury.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone looking to use their sporting background to support and inspire young people with additional needs.

• Position: Sports Coach / Sports Graduate
• Location: Bury
• Start Date: ASAP or after Easter half term
• Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Full-time The Role: You will work closely with pupils with special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD, and behavioural needs, using sport and physical activity as a tool to engage, motivate, and support their development.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for sports who are considering a career in education, youth work, or coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and support sports sessions and physical activities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement through structured activities
• Assist teaching staff in lessons and classroom management
• Build strong relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, and resilience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A background in sports, coaching, or a related degree
• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• A proactive, energetic, and resilient attitude
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
