About the Role

As a Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning across a variety of subjects when teachers are absent. While PE and sports-related lessons may form part of your timetable, you must also be confident covering general secondary subjects across KS3 and KS4.

• Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
• Covering PE, Games and sports-related lessons when required
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Ensuring students remain engaged and on-task throughout lessons
• Supporting pupils' academic and personal development
• Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

The ideal candidate will:

• Be comfortable covering both PE and general secondary subjects

• Have a passion for supporting young people's development
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
