Job Title: Specialty Dr in Old Age Psychiatry

Grade: Specialty Dr

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Working Hours: 40

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Dr in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time hours per week for our NHS client's inpatient team based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

Your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments. You will evaluate elderly patients to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, you will formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals.

In addition, you will be responsible for regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals. You will adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize care. Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You must have a full GMC license to practice.
  • Proven experience in the relevant field.
