Main duties of the jobThe post will focus on providing direct clinical care and meeting service delivery - out-patient clinics, surgical duties/lists, MDT meetings, as well as delivering appropriate teaching, training and supervision of other members of staff, and giving the post holder the opportunity to undertake wider professional activities and additional NHS responsibilities such as management roles.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesApplications are invited for the above post of Specialty Doctor within the Integrated Breast Service at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time 10 PA position.

Person specification Experience/ Qualifications- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- Four years post-graduation - foundation year training completed
- Experience in breast surgery
- Evidence of experience in all aspects of breast assessment, diagnosis with interpretation of investigations
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
- Experience of breast surgery
- Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
- Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
- Evidence of managerial skills: Achievements / Course attended
- Evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Evidence of participation in audit
- Prizes and honours
- Appropriate progression of career to date
- Evidence of good communication skills both oral and written
