It is expected that the post holder will work flexibly under the direction of the Anaesthesia andTheatres Directorate to provide anaesthetic services.Initially, all lists under close supervision of a Consultant Anaesthetist, and depending onprevious experience and competencies, the successful candidate will be expected to workunaccompanied.

Evidence of competencies will need to be captured on the lifelong learning platform.

The work on delivery suite encompasses elective and emergency obstetric anaesthesia in supporting the busy unit.There is a Full Shift pattern rota for the department.

The successful candidate will be expectedin the normal run of his/her duties and within the contract and job description, to cover for theoccasional brief absences of a colleague as far as is practical.

On average 40-44 hours workedare calculated into a
12.09 PA contract.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake emergency on-call, including attendance at cardiac arrest calls.These duties will be located mainly at Liverpool Womens Hospital Crown Street.
