Speciality Lines Pricing Actuary

Arthur is delighted to be supporting a SpecialityInsurer for a Pricing Actuary. The role involves overseeing pricing reviews, model maintenance, and underwriter support, ensuring consistent, compliant, and commercially viable pricing decisions across assigned business lines.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the delivery and maintenance of technical pricing models for single risk portfolios.
• Oversee pricing reviews and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards
• Development and review of case pricing and provide actuarial input on pricing adjustments to ensure profitability targets are met.
•Supportunderwriting teams, offering expert advice on pricing decisions.
• Support input into reserving, business planning, and premium projections across relevant portfolios.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across actuarial, underwriting and finance teams.

Requirements:
• Part or fully qualified actuary with at least 3 years' experience in general insurance pricing.
• Strong technical background in specialitypricing within the London Market.
• Proficient in Excel, VBA, and pricing software; SQL, Python or PowerBI is desirable.
• Experience working closely with underwriters on model use and pricing decisions.
