This role is primarily an office-based role, but you willbe requiredto work outside in all weathers. This role is not compatible with remote or hybrid working and there is a requirement to live within 1 hour of the Mablethorpe Depot LN12 1NB.

We provide advice and support to our colleagues across the business and to external customers and stakeholders. We respond to flooding and environmental incidents both day and night and provide mutual aid which supports our colleagues and communities during flooding.
The role of the Maintenance planner (STM) is to provide technical knowledge and assistance, onsite risk assessments and method statements along with the organisation of plant and materials require to complete onsite works. As our 'frontline', the field teams use a range of plant, machinery and equipment to carry out maintenance works on local river systems and costal defences. Our team protect people and the environment by providing 24/7 operational response during flood events. The teams work collaboratively across the organisation to achieve positive outcomes. In this role you will work closely with your Team Leader to:
- Complete our maintenance programme by planning,schedulingand resourcing works
- Activelymonitorthe team's work to ensure thathigh standardsin health, safety and wellbeing aremaintainedwhilst promoting a proactive culture
- Ensure we have clear and concise site paperwork,assiston projects, take responsibility for work specifications, and work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Ensure work sites are fully compliant to legal requirements and Environment Agency policies and procedures
- Identify, organise, and coordinate training to test our incident response plans
The team Mablethorpe Field Team are responsible for carrying out the yearly routine maintenance on local river systems and coastal defences. The works include grass cutting of embankments using a range of machinery, weed cutting of river systems by machinery and by hand, Bushing winter works, Ground maintenance of pumping stations and amenities, and ongoing coastal defence repairs. Along with providing a 24/7 incident response capability to assets to ensure correct working conditions.
Experience / skills requiredWe welcome applications from all backgrounds. Our team are currentlyseekinga proactive,self-motivatedand confident communicator with experience working in the maintenance sector.The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures with agricultural, grounds maintenance or construction based experience.
You'll be able to demonstrate the following:- Background working with machinery and heavy plant.
- Knowledge and experience managing Health & Safety in a maintenance and response environment
- Competent IT literacy; the ability to use devices, Excel and databases
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities
- Good knowledge of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
- Great organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Effective and inclusive leadership
- Full UK Driving Licence - essential.
- Health & Safety accreditations are advantageous
