Specialist Teacher for Complex Communication and Interaction - Windmill Primary Church of Engla ...
Posted 5 hours 1 minute ago by Kirklees Council
Start Date: January 2027 or as soon as possible
A rare opportunity has arisen for a specialist teacher within our Additionally Resourced Provision. Our successful Church of England School is looking for a passionate, reflective teacher who has a positive attitude and is calm and resilient to join our well-established provision team. The provision caters for a group of children with complex communication and interaction needs from Reception to KS2.
As a key professional for the resourced provision for communication and interaction needs, the post holder will develop and lead strategies which will impact upon the learning and inclusion of children with complex communication and interaction needs; planning and delivering sessions to meet the individual needs of learners. The successful candidate will also work in partnership with parents/carers and families as well as other professionals in order to maximise outcomes for pupils.
Our teachers benefit from tailored support, targeted professional development opportunities and the chance to work in a friendly and collaborative learning community. Leaders in school take a 'common sense' approach to workload and work alongside staff to ensure that everything we do has an impact on pupils' progress. We encourage staff to be reflective, risk taking and be at the leading edge of research and innovation in order to secure the best outcomes for children.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a dedicated, friendly and supportive team who are very reflective and live out our school vision of 'do everything in love'. In January 2024, our SIAMS inspection reported that 'In 'doing everything in love' Windmill C of E Primary School is transforming lives.
The headteacher demonstrates a passionate commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of staff. The staff team live out the vision in the way they support one another when facing times of personal challenge. This support is transformational. Staff flourish as a result of the significant investment in their professional development.
Our school is well placed for applicants from across West Yorkshire, we are situated very close to Junction 27 of the M62, close to Birstall retail park.
Visits to the school are encouraged; please contact our School Business support officer, Sonya Archer, in the School office () to book a time. If you want to know more about us, have a look at our website:
