Job Description
You can begin to work in an impact-first role with SENse Learning. Our Specialist Teacher roles allow you to provide one-to-one support for the most in-need young people, working across specialisms as a SEND Tutor, Intervention Tutor, and Specialist Teacher.

- Experience: 2+ years of post NQT teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma informed way
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- Approach: Understanding of how to work in a child centred, holistic way; ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student centred way
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS (facilitated if needed) and 2+ professional references
- Location: Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
- Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
- Compliance: Must pass a safer recruitment process to ensure suitability to work with children and young people
- Develop strong relationships with children and young people who have a range of needs and who have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings
- Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid support to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other additional educational needs
- Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to the young person's needs, EHCP, and risk assessment
- Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress

This position involves engaging with us as a self employed tutor/teacher. This is not a PAYE position.
