Specialist SEND Teacher: Empower Autistic & SEMH Learners

An exceptional opportunity has become available for a Specialist SEND Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Sunderland.

The school is part of a well-established trust and supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and communication difficulties. The provision offers excellent facilities, therapeutic support and a highly collaborative working environment.

• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
• Supporting pupils with additional emotional and behavioural needs
• Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
• Implementing positive behaviour support strategies
• Working alongside multidisciplinary teams
• Monitoring academic and emotional progress

• Hold QTS/QTLS
• Have SEN teaching experience
• Be adaptable, resilient and empathetic
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be committed to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
