Job Description

Oasis Academy New Oak currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant.

Job Overview

You'll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with differentiated needs, providing learning support with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing sometimes complex behaviours within a structured learning environment to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.

Requirements
  • NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Maths and English GCSE grade A - C / 9-4 or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent.
  • Previous experience leading in a specialist setting, resource base, or SEN Provision.
  • Passion and commitment for supporting learners with specific needs.
  • An empathetic, patient and tolerant demeanour.
  • Key organisation and communication skills.
  • Experience with managing complex behaviours and helping SEN learners to achieve.

Working Pattern
  • Term Time Only (including inset days).
  • 39 Weeks per Year.
  • 37 Hours per Week.
