Specialist Nurse ASD/ADHDThe closing date is 22 February 2026
We are seeking to recruit a Band 7 full time Specialist Nurse role to work as part of the Community Paediatric Service. The successful candidate will join a diverse team of supportive professionals working within the service.
The postholder will support the care and assessment of children with ASD/ ADHD (neurodevelopmental conditions).
The role includes the delivery of independent nurse-led clinics for review of patients covering the Mansfield/Ashfield/Newark/Sherwood areas, alongside opportunities to support young people and families and be involved in neurodevelopmental assessments.
There may be wider opportunities to develop skills through training and teaching within the Trust.
The role would suit those wishing to enhance their knowledge and expertise, and secondment placements would be considered.
Candidates for the post must be registered with the NMC and have some experience of working with children/young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Post holder will also preferably hold nurse prescribing qualification V300.

Person Specification Knowledge- Knowledge & experience of evidence-based interventions with children with ADHD & ASD their families
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection policies and procedures
- Knowledge of child development
- Teaching qualification (ENB 998, FLIPS, D32/33, C&G 730)
- Non medical prescribing V300
- Willingness to undertake further training if post is made substantive in particular around non-medical prescribing
- Ability to travel between locations and work with children, young people and families in their homes
- Flexibility to work outside office hours as required
- Experience of supporting children and young people with ASD & ADHD and their families
- Experience of working as part of an integrated or multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working with partners in CAMHS, education, social care, Sure Start & the voluntary sector
- Experience of delivering training to health staff & families
