WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Due to the strategic realignment of the Coatings business unit, a dedicated finance department is being established. This presents an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the finance organization from its foundation. Therefore, we are looking for a Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist with the following objectives.

  • In this position you are responsible for managing the consolidated financial statements for the coatings division with a focus on financial consolidation and reporting.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements, fully compliant with IFRS and statutory requirements, while also aligning with the strategic objectives of the business.
  • A key part of your role will be to lead the development and implementation of standardized consolidation and reporting processes that enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and adherence to both local and international financial standards.
  • You collaborate closely with cross-functional finance teams, including accounting and tax departments, to ensure cohesive financial reporting and maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Your responsibilities also include driving continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for process optimization, leveraging new technologies, and supporting the integration of financial systems.
  • Additionally, you conduct detailed variance analyses to compare actual results with forecasts, maintain high-quality documentation of consolidation procedures, and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and professional certifications such as CPA or CA are a strong advantage
  • at least eight years of experience in financial consolidation and reporting, ideally gained within a large multinational organization
  • industry experience in chemicals or similar sectors is beneficial, especially in contexts involving organizational transitions or carve-outs
  • extensive knowledge of consolidation principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements is essential, along with proficiency in SAP, financial consolidation software, and advanced MS Office tools
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate to diverse audiences in English is key, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset for working across teams and with stakeholders
