Specialist, ERP Master Data

The Master Data Specialist will play an important role in supporting McLaren Racing's finance transformation by helping to create trusted, accurate and well-governed master data for our finance systems.
Working across Finance and connected business teams, you will support the cleansing, governance and population of master data, ensuring it is aligned to the Financial Data Model, ERP design and reporting requirements. This role is key to enabling a scalable, auditable and reliable finance platform for the future.
What You'll Do- Audit, define and document target-state master data structures across areas such as customer, supplier, chart of accounts and financial dimensions.
- Apply agreed standards, naming conventions and data policies, supporting clear ownership of core Finance data domains.
- Coordinate data extraction from legacy systems and lead cleansing activity to improve accuracy, completeness and consistency ahead of migration.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, approval workflows, audit controls and traceability for master data changes.
- Manage ongoing master data maintenance within ERP and connected systems, monitoring data quality and resolving issues proactively.

- Experience working with master data in finance, ERP or connected business systems.
- Strong understanding of data cleansing, migration, governance and control principles.
- Ability to work with data models, system design requirements and reporting needs.
- Confidence working with stakeholders across Finance, technology and business operations.
- A detail-focused approach, with the ability to identify data gaps, inconsistencies and duplication.
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex data and system concepts.
- Collaborative working style, with the ability to influence across teams.
- Strong judgement, balancing business needs with system and control requirements.
