Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Addictions to provide specialist pharmaceutical advice, medicines governance input & direct clinical care to patients e.g. those at high risk from polypharmacy. This post will assist with the delivery of a number of the Medication Assisted Treatment standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join us. You will have relevant experience of pharmacy practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide direct clinical care and develop lead on the development of HSCP pharmacy services in Addictions. Previous experience of management and service development would be ideal.

You will have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy. You will have experience of primary care, good clinical skills and be an independent prescriber. The post will involve travelling to a number of locations so a full, current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be adjusted on a pro rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
