Job Description
Job Description The position By joining the Center for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) as a Specialist - Statistics & Data Science/Analytics, you will be part of Organon's manufacturing organization, making a real difference in ensuring a compliant, predictable and robust supply of medicines to patients. The CMS team is dedicated to taking a leading role in automating and decentralising decision making, aiming to transform how we control our products, processes and analytical methods. As part of the CMS team, your will develop interactive RShiny applications as part of the Manufacturing & Quality Control Room vision, define best practices for real-time process monitoring, create statistical packages and mentor business users on how to use these tools effectively. For example, you will build scalable applications in RShiny to support statistical process control and capability analyses, identify sources of variation to optimize performance, and facilitate benchmarking across different sites, products, and packaging types. Besides, you will work closely with CMS team members to provide quantitative/statistical support to non-clinical projects across our global manufacturing organizations. Leveraging advanced statistics, simulation, data science methods and predictive modelling, you'll tackle challenges like root-cause analysis, optimize product and process robustness, and predict drug product stability. In this way, you gain experience in solving complex quantitative challenges using statistics, get to know the manufacturing organization and simultaneously support the simplification and automation of exploratory and statistical analyses. The Center for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) team Our team is strongly positioned within Science & Technology (S&T) - a subdivision of the manufacturing organization with representation of various Technical Operations groups and other support areas providing integrated end-to-end support. Our team systematically structures problems, transforms pharmaceutical data challenges into quantitative solutions and collaborates effectively to enhance decision making in the business. CMS is currently a team of five energetic statistical / quantitative consultants who are mainly based at our manufacturing locations in Oss (NL) and partially in Heist (BE). To accommodate the growing need for statistical expertise and to advance the analytics strategy of the manufacturing division, the team plans to expand to eight members. Team members are typically on site in Oss approximately three days per week. Flexibility in working hours is needed occasionally, since global support is provided. Responsibilities
- Independently apply basic statistical concepts within a specified scope of projects.
- Solve complex statistical analyses related to the manufacturing of medicines together with CMS members.
- Design and implement both small-scale RShiny mock-up applications to showcase the benefits of innovative working methods, as well as develop robust, scalable analytics solutions in RShiny.
- Translate user requirements or feedback into detailed analytics proposals.
- Align with CMS team members for best statistical practices to be implemented.
- Collaborate with internal experts on best practices for real-time process monitoring methods and support in the implementation in Python.
