The Specialist, supported by a team of Client Solutions partners, will be responsible for providing dedicated clients with the holistic investment data sets they need to fulfil stakeholder requirements and identifying solutions for data analysis and reporting challenges.
Responsibilities- Detailed management and review of client investment data, including investment transactions and valuations.
- Cash movement, pricing, gain and loss analysis, account and position reconciliation.
- Alternative investment manager estimates.
- Plan contributions and spending withdrawals.
- Underlying manager exposure data.
- Benchmark and investment classification data.
- Reconciliations.
- Daily point of contact for advanced/escalation of client service needs.
- Interpret, review and resolve ad hoc client requests.
- First point of escalation for issues raised by junior team members.
- First point of escalation for daily and monthly performance issues raised by junior team members.
- Final reviewer and approver for month-end client cycle.
- Validate statement-based valuations.
- Deliver all client data analysis and reporting.
- Host monthly client sign-off meetings to review data and performance results.
- Provide final review and sign-off on client output including NAV, allocation and underlying performance.
- Adhere to client service-level deliverables as documented in the respective SLDs.
- Serve as a resource for the toolset's liquidity analysis and portfolio planning capabilities supporting institutional asset-owner clients.
- Support client onboarding, including initial discovery sessions, project planning, setting client expectations and providing continuous updates.
- Participate in ongoing process-improvement discussions where feasible, including third-party vendor sourcing and technical process improvements.
- Client servicing experience.
- High level of comfort communicating directly with clients and advocating for them.
- Extensive experience working with complex asset owners in performance measurement, alternative asset or private equity operations, or investment operations (fund or investment accounting).
- Demonstrated understanding of private-equity transactional impacts on unfunded commitments, market value, cost, and other metrics typically associated with private equity (e.g., TVPI, DPI, PIC).
- Deep understanding of accounting and reporting methods, including IBOR, ABOR, and TrueNAV, to support complete and accurate data capture.
- Knowledge of performance-measurement concepts, GIPS standards, benchmark calculations across multiple asset classes, and the benchmark-provider industry.
- Ability to work closely with and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and reconcile conflicting priorities.
- Progress or completion of advanced credentials such as CFA, CIPM, or CAIA (preferred).
