Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work across secondary schools in NW2 and surrounding areas. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and confident supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Previous SEN experience is essential, ideally supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - NW2 Area
• Position - SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
• Type of work - Supporting students with Special Educational Needs
• Start date - September 2026
• Duration - Until the end of the academic year
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Rate of pay - Minimum GBP90 per day
• Hours - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• A degree is desirable
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
