Responsibilities of Sous chef

• Supporting the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
• Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials
• Managing stock, ordering, and controlling food costs
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Training and mentoring junior chefs

• Previous experience as a Sous chefor strong junior sous chef ready to step up
• A passion for producing exceptional food
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organisational abilities
• A positive attitude and a hands-on approach
