The RoleAs a Sous Chef, you will:
- Support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations across all outlets.
- Oversee preparation, cooking, and service to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs, leading by example at all times.
- Contribute to menu development, tastings, and seasonal updates.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships in line with budget.
- Take charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, maintaining standards and efficiency.
The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel located on London's historic Grosvenor Square. Our property, set within a listed Edwardian manor, combines cultural elegance with modern charm. We offer an all-day public restaurant and a private members' club with 31 bedrooms and suites.
About YouWe are looking for individuals who are passionate about excellence and culture.
You will have:
- Previous experience above 4 years as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a luxury or high-end kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity, with excellent product knowledge.
- A proven track record in leading teams and managing busy services.
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and allergen management.
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, solution-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work split shifts, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Lead sections of the kitchen and ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Supervise, train, and motivate junior chefs.
- Support planning and execution of daily menus and specials.
- Maintain stock control, food safety, and HACCP compliance.
- Work with the Head Chef on costings, budgets, and supplier management.
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations, even under pressure.
