Job Description
Sous Chef - Lords of the Manor, 4 AA Rosettes
Lords of the Manor are offering a superb opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join our award-winning team. We're looking for a chef with flair, discipline, and a genuine passion for creating exceptional food. Experience with pastry would be an advantage.
As Sous Chef, you'll have at least two years' experience at Junior Sous level and be confident in leading the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence. You'll also have a thorough knowledge of current food hygiene legislation and be comfortable with kitchen risk assessments.
What we're looking for:
Genuine passion and knowledge of high-quality food
A hands-on approach, taking responsibility for your section and supporting the wider team
Confidence in training and mentoring junior team members, encouraging a culture of learning
Strong teamwork skills, building excellent relationships with both kitchen and front-of-house colleagues
Proven experience within a fine-dining environment at a similar level

Atrium at Lords of the Manor is our tasting-menu fine-dining restaurant, proudly awarded 4 AA Rosettes and listed in the Good Food Guide. Under the leadership of Head Chef Charles Smith, whose background includes time at Petrus & Per Se, our kitchen pushes the boundaries of creativity while celebrating the best produce.
Alongside Atrium, The Dining Room offers a more relaxed à la carte experience, giving our guests the perfect complement to fine dining. Together, our two restaurants showcase the very best of modern British cuisine with a French influence, all in the setting of our 17th-century country manor hotel.
