Sourcing Specialist

As a key member of Sourcing Department, the Sourcing Specialist will play an essential role in managing day-to-day sourcing activities. This includes overseeing the lifecycle process, assisting in the strategic sourcing of products, services and solutions with a focus on driving cost savings, and closely collaborating with the Supplier Sourcing & Management Compliance teams to facilitate seamless supplier onboarding and compliance screening.
This will be a highly visible role within our organization, as you will work closely with internal stakeholders and business leaders, vendors and suppliers to ensure contract delivery, supporting business continuity operational efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
-Develop and implement sourcing strategies, best practices and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
-Conduct marketing research to identify, evaluate and select suppliers, analyzing trends and negotiate favorable terms
-Use data-driven insights to create and defend category strategies, ensuring alignment with both cost-saving and patient quality service objectives
Supplier Management and Negotiations
-Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships through regular evaluations and performance reviews, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards
-Lead negotiations to secure optimal pricing, service levels and contract terms while identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation and process improvements
Contract Management
-Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, T&Cs and SLAs.
Stakeholder Collaboration
-Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Operations) to align sourcing strategies with business needs. Provide expert guidance on procurement processes and maintain effective communication channels adopting a value-driven mindset
-Work with cross-functional teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with organizational needs and budget requirements
Reporting & Documentation
-Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier communications, and contact details. Prepare reports on sourcing performance, cost savings and vendor performance
Continuous Improvement
-Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency
-Adopt innovative technologies and best practices to streamline operations, reduce costs and maintain high standards of patient care
Education Requirements & Desired Skills:
-A bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (or related field) from an accredited university or college
-3/5 years of relevant Sourcing and Supplier management experience
-Excellent communication skills and matrix leadership experience
-Strong financial, quantitative, data analysis skills and budget planning
-Supplier Relationship Management, contract negotiation without much legal guidance
-Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize with strong attention to detail
-Proven ability to develop, lead and implement projects with high business impact
-Comprehensive understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycles
-Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
