Sourcing Manager

Description Overview

This role as a Sourcing Manager requires the management of contract manufacturers and suppliers for External Finished Goods. A key feature of this role is the ability to manage high value, strategic partnerships. This will be a permanent contract based in Perrigo's Dublin Office with work from home flexibility (up to 2 days per week).

Scope of the Role

• Manage an external contract manufacturing supply portfolio
• Draft, implement and execute effective sourcing strategies
• Review and manage category spend and identify opportunities for cost savings without negatively impacting quality or service
• Negotiate, draft and execute contracts
• Price negotiation and management
• Spend analysis and budget management
• Ensure robust service
• Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
• Represent Procurement in multifunctional initiatives
• Internal stakeholder management

Experience Required

• Prior experience managing a category of external manufacturing suppliers (or similar)
• Experience in pharmaceutical/FMCG would be beneficial
• Experience with managing global supplier relationships preferable (especially with suppliers in China and India)
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in similar roles
• Strong negotiation & influencing skills, both externally for commercial discussions and internally for critical procurement issues
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business acumen
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerBI and Powerpoint
• BA/BS Degree
• CIPS qualification would be beneficial
