Sourcing Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Staffordshire based client to recruit for a Sourcing Manager.

The role:

This role will focus on negotiation, relationship building and the sourcing of new suppliers, you will be charged with seeking out and negotiating commercial and contract terms with new suppliers alongside managing the relationships with current suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers based in both the UK and internationally
• Build long term supplier relationships to drive home commercial advantage
• Lead all negotiations across, pricing, lead times, and payment terms
• Define, monitor, and improve supplier KPIS
• Manage supplier contracts including ensuring they are commercially sound
• Work closely with colleague across Procurement, Finance and Operations teams

Skills and Experience required:

• An experienced negotiator
• Have a commercial mindset
• Comfortable meeting supplier face to face
• Proactive and driven, someone who wants to succeed
• Experience within a manufacturing environment, candidates who have experience in the sourcing of metals would be particularly attractive.
