About the role We are seeking a dynamic individual with sufficient procurement experience, ideally from within the Cosmetic or Personal Care industry, with a large global focus on e-commerce support, to join us.

The successful candidate will have a global remit for sourcing and cost reduction within the logistics category, including 3PL tender processes, value-add cost reductions within 3PL contracts, Final Mile couriers, and inbound/outbound freight support. Developing freight sourcing strategies quarterly and annually will be key.

Core responsibilities include project managing supplier cost initiatives, collaborating with regional stakeholders to develop a global category plan, and working within a matrix structure, primarily focusing 70% on logistics projects and 30% on other procurement areas as directed.

As a Sourcing Category Manager - Logistics, you will

  • Develop and deliver the logistics category sourcing strategy, working with regional leads to create a global plan with market analysis, supplier evaluation, and selection.
  • Perform spend analysis to support sourcing strategies, including deep dives into 3PL spend data and joint supply chain planning.
  • Provide critical challenge to current supply bases, presenting operational solutions to stakeholders to optimize growth and efficiency.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, monitor market trends, and conduct benchmarking.
  • Forecast, monitor, and report on cost initiatives, maintaining the pipeline tracker.
  • Lead new supplier sourcing, tendering programs, and manage a 12-month sourcing pipeline.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring timely signing with input from stakeholders and legal teams.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs, SLAs, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Support synergy opportunities with sister companies and lead joint tenders.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, drive sustainable sourcing, and support CSR goals.

Essential competencies include

  • Ability to quickly assimilate operational data and develop actionable sourcing plans.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong project management skills, including sourcing tenders and VAVE projects.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
  • Autonomy in managing resources and priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Tenacity to challenge peers and stakeholders for process and supplier improvements.

About you

  • Thorough knowledge of 3PL logistics markets, including B2B and B2C e-commerce.
  • Experience in procurement within cosmetics or personal care industries.
  • Experience supporting logistics subcategories and implementing category strategies.
  • Strong data analysis skills and legal contract knowledge.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous data to achieve cost benefits.
  • Experience with 'source to contract' e-sourcing tools is a plus.
