Position Title: Solutions Sales Manager - Cyber Security & Networking

Purpose of JobThe Solutions Sales Manager role is responsible for developing and growing assigned customer segments. This role leads and develops a team of solution specialists who focus on proactive sales activities to generate new and cross-sale opportunities within both new and existing accounts, drives sales targets, builds strong customer relationships, and delivers tailored cybersecurity and networking solutions.
Key Activities & Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and coach a team of Solution Sales specialists; implement performance development plans to manage performance and growth.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement strategic team plans with the Head of Cyber Security & Networking to drive growth and align with business goals.
- Sales/Financial Performance: Meet/exceed targets; ensure CRM activity is updated for visibility.
- Customer Sales: Drive net new opportunities and cross-sell within existing accounts; support team on opportunities as needed.
- Customer Segment Development: Collaborate with internal teams to build GTMs that align with customer segments and propositions.
- Sales Enablement: Develop and implement sales enablement plans aligned with customer segments and marketing strategy.
- Marketing Strategy Support: Support proposition marketing and generate ideas to reach customers.
- Market Research: Stay informed on market trends to keep offerings relevant and competitive.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Define mission, technology focus areas, and sales strategy for aligned segments.
- Talent acquisition and development in line with KPIs.
- Collaborate on activity, enablement and marketing plans for the aligned segments.
- Drive opportunities with net-new and cross-sale focus; manage opportunities with Bytes Account Managers; ensure CRM hygiene.
- Maintain relationships with customer contacts to increase wallet share.
- Build pipeline of Solutions and Services revenue with cross-functional teams; maintain opportunity levels at 2x target.
- Stay informed on trends and product knowledge; ensure team understands offerings.
- Identify and sponsor new services and vendors to enhance Bytes value proposition.
- Drive positive performance, visibility of opportunities in CRM, and regular deal reviews.
- Support collateral creation and thought leadership content; coach team; prepare monthly/quarterly performance reports.
- Attend Priority Customer and Vendor Quarterly Business Reviews; promote Bytes values.
- Team Leadership & Development: Direct team with resource planning, coaching and growth mindset.
- Sales/Financial Performance: Set targets with leadership; review data and drive CRM usage and reporting.
- Personal Performance Management: Align OKRs and Personal Development Plans with business goals.
- Customer Sales: Be customer-facing for top clients and indirectly support the team on opportunities; promote LEARN methodology.
- Proposition Development: Maintain vendor/partner knowledge and market use cases.
- Sales Enablement & Marketing: Provide enablement support and contribute to marketing ideas and content.
- Vendor/Partner Management: Maintain relationships within vendor and partner community.
Educational Qualifications
- GCSEs with A-C in Maths and English
- Minimum A-Levels (A-C) in English, Maths, and technology-related subject
- Bachelor's Degree in technology or business management
Years of Experience
- Greater than five (5) years of demonstrable sales experience in the software technology industry
- Previous team management experience (minimum 2 years)
Other Requirements
- Deep commercial and technology understanding of Cyber Security & Networking
- High-level understanding of Modern Workplace, Public Cloud (Azure or AWS), Hybrid Infrastructure, FinOps, AI, Data Analytics, Automation, Software Asset Management, or Service Management
Desirable
- Commercial acumen to negotiate positive outcomes
- Intermediate MS Office 365 skills
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; occasional out-of-hours work
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and time
- Discretion with sensitive information; proactive approach
- Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders within Bytes, customers and vendors
- Engagements: number of engagements, GP pipeline conversion, GP won
- Deals & Gross Profit: net new deals, GP, and win wires
- Cross-sales: number of cross-sale deals and GP
- Strategic Customer Targets: opportunities in pipeline and closed business
