On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Solutions Architect (MES) for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (3 days per week on-site).

Applicants must actively hold or be eligible to receive SC Clearance.

The Role & Responsibilities:

This is the role for someone who is passionate about determining robust solutions to business & technology challenges, making use of your strong understanding of MES and Digital Manufacturing technologies and interfaces. You can perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into solution options and recommendations.

You'll have the opportunity to define solutions that overcome complex business needs. Together with the business functions, Global IT, and third-party vendors, you'll have a desire to be part of a collaborative team, taking a holistic approach across the system helping shape strategy, requirements and technology to deliver outstanding results. What's more, you'll be pivotal in helping to drive forward one of the most exciting products currently in development in the UK.

• Demonstrate knowledge of the digital solutions and associated business processes within the Digital Manufacturing domain including MES, IOT, SAP Production Planning (PP)
• Collaborating with business functions, IT functions, 3rd party vendors and delivery teams to determine business-specific solution needs
• Define and architect solutions to the business Digital Manufacturing needs, both business and technical
• Interpret business requirements to enable and own the design of integrated solutions in accordance with the Global IT and Defence strategic Enterprise Digital Manufacturing architecture roadmap
• Provide leadership and direction on technical aspects of systems development and integration in line with technical strategies, standards etc
• In Solution designs focus on User Experience and Automation
• Shared ownership for supporting and monitoring the Solutions delivery to the business
• Establish and manage relationships with Vendor SA's/EA's
• Identifying application integration requirements, maintenance needs, upgrades, and data migration activities
• Technical team leadership (no direct reports)

Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the digital solutions and associated business processes within the Digital Manufacturing domain including MES, IOT, SAP Production Planning (PP)
• Demonstrable IT architecture experience
• Demonstrable service orientated technical leadership
• Demonstrable technical leadership of complex technical and/or professional work activities
• Be able to provide evidence based architectural options, alternatives, rationales, and recommendations/solution evaluations
• Experience of working in and contributing to successful client projects.
• Experience of working in classified projects
