Job Description

Role: Senior Solutions Consultant

Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: up to £100K base + bonus

Overview

We're seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant who can work closely with commercial teams and enterprise customers to shape technical solutions. The position involves guiding clients through the early technical phases, outlining solution approaches, and ensuring requirements are translated clearly into delivery plans. You'll collaborate across internal teams to make sure proposed solutions align with customer goals and can be implemented effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Support opportunity development from early exploration through to contract stage, providing technical input throughout.
  • Act as a regional resource for questions related to product behaviour, solution options, and integration pathways.
  • Facilitate sessions aimed at clarifying business expectations, technical considerations, and integration environments.
  • Design practical solutions that address customer needs across digital payments, in store journeys, multi currency operations, and broader connected commerce scenarios.
  • Communicate solution concepts through presentations, walkthroughs, and discussions suited to different audiences.
  • Contribute technical content for proposals, including diagrams, written explanations, and structured responses to formal requests.
  • Feed insights from customer conversations into internal product discussions to help shape future enhancements.
  • Offer assistance during early testing phases, pilots, or technical validation exercises when required.
  • Prepare clear and organised documentation to support a smooth transition into implementation teams.
  • Stay informed on updates to platforms, relevant technologies, and industry developments.
Experience
  • Experience in technical pre sales, solution design, or consulting within payments, fintech, or related technology fields.
  • Understanding of payment ecosystems, including processing flows, risk controls, card based and alternative methods of payment, and recurring billing models.
  • Comfortable interpreting and working with APIs, event based integrations, SDKs, and standard integration practices.
  • Able to communicate effectively across both technical and commercial groups.
  • Familiarity with supporting enterprise level or mid market sales motions.
  • Skilled at reframing technical details into clear, outcome focused narratives.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, commerce platforms, or sector specific technology (e.g., retail or hospitality) is useful.
  • Able to navigate multiple workstreams at once with a structured and proactive approach.
