Solution Architect

Blackapple Solutions Ltd (BSL) was founded in 2004 with the mission to provide best-in-class technology consulting and services across the globe. BSL offers its services in Information Technology, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Engineering consulting, with the goal of becoming an internationally renowned Systems Integration Company.

We are currently seeking a Solution Architect for a permanent position based in Crawley, England. The role involves assessing business opportunities, designing reliable project solutions, creating technical documentation, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in application architecture, Java development, and web service/API integration, with a strong understanding of IT solution design and architecture governance.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assessing business requirements and recommending optimal solutions.
2. Creating project cost estimates and technical documentation.
3. Engaging with architects and stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency.
4. Designing high-level diagrams and participating in governance reviews.
5. Supporting project delivery and managing architectural risks.
6. Applying Java, Spring, and web service integration principles.
7. Using tools like Visio to create diagrams and documentation.
8. Communicating complex technical issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in application architecture or solution design.
2. At least 3 years of experience with Java development.
3. Experience with multiple interacting applications and services.
4. Preferred experience in the airline, travel, or loyalty industries.
