In this role, you'll play a vital part in how we deliver and improve our business solutions!

The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect, you will work within a team of Solution Architects covering the broad scope of EDF's Customer business units. With a business domain specialism, you will own the technology roadmap for that domain, engaging with stakeholders to understand strategic goals and market trends to recommend solutions. You will be involved in delivery activities and strategic planning, defining end-to-end solutions that adhere to architectural principles.

Pay, Benefits, and Culture

We offer a salary starting from £75,000 depending on experience, with a potential 5% bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and a market-leading pension scheme. Flexible working options are available, including remote work with provided IT equipment. Travel to our offices across the UK may be required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and owning the architectural roadmap within your business domain, staying updated with new technologies and market trends.
• Participating in change delivery projects, working with teams to implement technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Ensuring cost transparency and a focus on value in technical decisions.
• Collaborating with other change agents to enhance business capabilities.
• Evaluating and recommending new technology solutions.
• Leading proof of concepts, trials, and value assessments for innovative ideas.
• Working with software engineers to develop cloud-native solutions.
• Managing the architectural roadmap for your domain.

Who You Are

We seek someone with proven experience in developing and maintaining solution roadmaps, capable of delivering architectural designs and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You should be proactive, curious, creative, and eager to learn and share knowledge. Experience in cloud-native architectures, especially within AWS and SaaS environments, is desirable. If you have architected in cloud-native contexts, we'd love to hear from you.
