Solicitor/Associate - Abuse and Complex Claims

Overview

This firm are a leading defendant practice that act on behalf of insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector. They are looking for a Solicitor/Associate to work in their market leading Abuse team with 2-5 years PQE. You will handle a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated abuse cases for insurer and uninsured clients. You will work closely with the Partner to act on behalf of sports organisations, religious institutions, schools, charities, and other public and private authorities. You will have experience in Sheriff Court appearances and in instructing agents in Court of Session. Ideally, you will have a background in handling sensitive and complex claims too.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated abuse cases for insurer and uninsured clients.
• Work closely with Partners to act on behalf of sports organisations, religious institutions, schools, charities, and other public and private authorities.
• Appear in Sheriff Court and instruct agents in Court of Session.
• Contribute to a market-leading Abuse team with a focus on sensitive and complex claims where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years PQE.
• Experience in Sheriff Court appearances and in instructing agents in Court of Session.
• Background in handling sensitive and complex claims is desirable.
