Reporting to our Delivery Operations Manager Benn Mahmood , we're looking for a Solar Design and Install Advisor to join our team.
This role requires a strong drive to deliver excellent customer outcomes while balancing commercial needs. It is customer-facing, so comfort with selling the benefits of So Energy's proposition, managing customer questions, and conflict resolution is essential.
You will be responsible for the successful installation of our solar and battery solutions, including interpreting survey data, creating final quotes, and ensuring smooth installations. Proven experience designing, selling, and managing the installation of Solar PV, inverters, and batteries in domestic properties will enable your success.
What you'll be doing:- Delivering world-class customer service with high quality standards.
- Creating final designs and quotes, closing deals through to signature.
- Developing installation briefs, identifying issues, and coordinating with installers.
- Creating scaffolding briefs and relevant applications to the Distribution Network Operator.
- Ordering appropriate kits and providing technical advice via phone and email.
- Responding to queries, following up on quotations, and resolving issues.
- Ensuring compliance with customer journey, processes, and MCS requirements.
- Meeting sales targets and maintaining pricing accuracy and margins.
- Using CRM platforms effectively and supporting onsite logistics and technical issues.
- You have an understanding of renewable energy systems including Solar PV and Battery storage.
- You have proven experience designing and managing solar installations in domestic settings.
- You can develop detailed solar designs from survey data, including schematics and shading analysis.
- You are customer-obsessed and deliver excellent service.
- You can work under pressure, handle ambiguity, and solve problems on the fly.
- You possess outstanding organizational and project management skills and are IT literate.
