What You'll Be Doing:

As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, programming, constructing, and maintaining databases, and modifying existing ones for platform updates and evolving user needs.
• Deploying managed and self-hosted database clusters for various startup projects, utilizing a wide range of database technologies (NoSQL, SQL, KV).
• Running pressure and scalability tests on database clusters, implementing sharding, horizontal and vertical scaling strategies.
• Refining and improving the performance of slow queries.

The Hands-On Experience You'll Need:

• 2+ years of experience working with database systems.
• Familiarity with database offerings from major cloud vendors like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Experience with sharding techniques, including selecting appropriate sharding keys.
• Proficiency in using ORM/ODM for popular databases (e.g., Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) in Node.js.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.

Bonus Experience:

• Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience in cost reduction techniques for cloud-based managed databases.
• Experience working with data lakes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with ELK stacks.
• Design: Figma
• APIs: REST, GraphQL
• Back-End: Node.js, Express.js
• CI/CD: CircleCI, GitHub Actions
• Testing: Cypress, Jest, Karma
