Location: Bern, (up to 80% remote)

Purpose:

We are looking for external support to strengthen our work in AI-enabled software delivery. This is not a pure AI specialist role. We need a senior hands-on software engineer who uses GenAI in a pragmatic way in real development work and can help improve engineering effectiveness without compromising quality.

What we need:

senior software engineer with strong hands-on development experience

Proven practical use of GenAI in day-to-day engineering work

Sound engineering judgment on quality, security, maintainability, and correctness

Ability to help teams apply AI-assisted development in a disciplined and practical way

Required profile:

Solid software engineering background in modern delivery environments

experience with CI/CD, testing, code review, and collaborative development practices

Demonstrated practical use of genai tools in software engineering

Pragmatic, delivery-oriented, low-hype mindset

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Helpful additional experience

experience with github/github Copilot or similar tooling

experience enabling teams in AI-assisted development practices

experience in developer productivity, developer enablement, or engineering effectiveness topics

Important clarification:

We are not looking for a generic AI strategist, a prompt-engineering-only profile, or a research-heavy ML specialist. The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with credible real-world delivery experience who already uses GenAI effectively as part of the software development life cycle.
