OVERVIEW

We are seeking an SC-cleared Linux Engineer with strong scripting and automation capability to secure and maintain air-gapped systems. The role involves developing bespoke Linux scripts, applying system hardening, managing firewall policies, and implementing monitoring solutions. You will work with Ansible for automation and contribute to C++ components where required, with regular travel to a client site near Portsmouth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and assess bespoke Linux scripts following best practice.
• Validate and apply scripts generated by third-party tools.
• Implement Linux system hardening and security controls.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks.
• Configure firewall rules and security policies for air-gapped environments.
• Implement event logging and monitoring.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong Linux engineering and scripting experience.
• Security hardening and firewall policy implementation.
• Experience with C++.
• Active SC clearance.
• Willingness to travel to a client site near Portsmouth.
