Software Engineer

We're working with a leading financial services organisation that is expanding its market data capabilities and looking for a hands on C++ Engineer to join on a contract basis.

What you'll be doing

• Onboarding market data feeds
• Mapping and validating reference data, addressing quality issues, and ensuring data integrity
• Running history backfill projects (around 20 in scope) alongside onboarding 15 new markets
• Collaborating across development and data functions, with exposure to C#, Python, and related workflows

What we're looking for

• Solid background in C++ software engineering, ideally within a financial markets or data driven environment
• Experience with market data (from exchanges, hedge funds, or providers) would be a strong plus
• Comfortable working with C# and Python in support of C++ (services, tooling, scripts)
• Strong analytical mindset, able to interrogate data outputs, spot anomalies, and validate trade classifications
