Job Title: Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Amsterdam

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: 55,000 - 75,000 DOE + benefits + equity options

They are a growing startup with a strong engineering culture, and they are looking for a Python-focused Software Engineer to join the team.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (primarily with FastAPI/Django/Flask).
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to build reliable APIs and services.
• Optimize data processing pipelines and contribute to cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP preferred).
• Write clean, testable code and actively participate in code reviews.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to production.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Strong understanding of web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with async programming and performance tuning.
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines or data engineering.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Vue) is a plus.
