Job Description

GeoPlace is seeking an experienced Developer and Application Support Analyst to join our Products team. The role involves designing and developing web applications for GeoPlace and providing support for existing applications.

We are an outgoing and diverse team looking for someone with a positive attitude, eager to take ownership of tasks, collaborate, and share knowledge with team members.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Sapphire UI and API.
  • Follow software development standards, including technical design, testing, TDD (Test Driven Development), and CD (Continuous Delivery).
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Research and develop new functionalities and technical frameworks.
  • Support and maintain existing web systems and provide technical user support.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, release managers, and publication teams to ensure quality delivery.
  • Monitor and respond to tickets via Jira, identify root causes, and fix application issues.
  • Maintain systems by monitoring and correcting defects.
  • Implement best practices to meet support objectives and SLAs.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Work with Spring Framework, RESTful services, Hibernate, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Linux/OSX, Java, DevOps, unit testing, UX/UI design patterns, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Possess a graduate or master's degree in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Utilize AI tools for UX/UI design.
  • Experience with JIRA, JIRA Agile, and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn.
