You'll be part of a small, high-impact team building the next generation of Personio's native iOS app, empowering millions of employees across Europe to manage their work and life seamlessly on the go.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer (d/f/m) to take ownership of key parts of Personio's iOS experience. You'll join a growing engineering team in London, working closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver high-quality, native experiences that bring HR tasks directly to our users' fingertips.

This role requires 2 days per week in our London office.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and ship native iOS features that enhance how millions of users interact with Personio.

Drive end-to-end delivery from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, and release.

Improve app performance and reliability, ensuring mobile parity with Personio's web platform.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define mobile-first solutions.

Champion engineering excellence by contributing to standards, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development practices.

Influence product direction by sharing technical insights and helping define what a world-class mobile experience looks like.

What You Need to Succeed

Strong experience developing native iOS apps in Swift

Proven experience shipping production apps with high reliability and performance standards.

Strong understanding of mobile architecture, API integration, and modern app development principles.

A passion for craft and code quality, with experience using CI/CD, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools.

Collaborative mindset, able to partner closely with engineers, designers, and PMs in an agile environment.

Proactive approach to solving problems and improving both the product and the team.

Experience prototyping and experimenting with iOS betas or new iOS features then demonstrating their capabilities / changes with both technical and non-technical people.

Strong experience developing native iOS apps with SwiftUI

Have contributed to cross-platform projects or worked closely with Android teams.

Have an interest in contributing to platforms other than iOS

Have experience in SaaS, HR tech, or other B2B mobile environments.

Enjoy mentoring or coaching other engineers.
