Preferred Skills and Experience

Proven track record in leading teams to deliver high quality solutions.

Ability to develop low latency, highly available and scalable solutions.

Experience of distributed systems.

Experience of server-side development including services, systems, messaging and middleware.

Good database application programming.

Experience working on Linux and GNU utilities.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.

Proactive and willing to contribute ideas.

High standards of work with excellent attention to detail.

What you will be doing

Assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, motivated and delivery focused team.

Enforcing governance around quality, rules, standards and processes within the team.

Ensuring the solution meets the needs of the Business.

Aiming to limit repeated steps with the development process.

Identifying and migrating risk.

Analysing impact of change.

Ensuring the development process is conducted in a timely fashion.

Mentoring members of the team and ensuring distribution of knowledge.

Inputting into the developer's appraisals and other performance feedback.
