Are you passionate about delivering high-quality, robust software in a fast-paced and innovative environment? We're looking for a Software Development Quality Assurance Engineer to help shape and drive our automated testing and QA strategy, ensuring the reliability and performance of our software solutions on a 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role

As a key member of our development team, you'll lead efforts to design, implement, and evolve scalable, automated test frameworks across projects. Working collaboratively with developers, product owners, and project managers, you'll ensure quality is embedded into everything we build.

This is a hands-on technical role where you'll bring your expertise in testing and automation to the forefront-identifying risks, ensuring thorough test coverage (including edge cases), and promoting testing best practices.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain automated test suites (functional, integration, regression, performance)
• Define and implement test strategies and QA standards across multiple projects
• Drive risk-based testing to ensure critical paths and edge cases are well covered
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the development lifecycle
• Simulate real-world usage with scenario-based and data-driven testing
• Produce automated test reports to enhance visibility of quality metrics
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Selenium, Postman, AWS)
• Document test cases and defects clearly to support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong autonomy and ability to influence testing strategies

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman)
• Solid scripting ability (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD environments and tools
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and data handling
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive approach to resolving quality concerns and promoting QA culture
